Biography

My artistic journey has lasted for more than thirty years and has taken me from simple pencil sketches, to pen and ink drawings, to watercolor and oil painting.

My most recent works have been created using the palette knife, which requires precision in application and lends itself to broad strokes and a variety of textures giving me greater opportunity for expression.

This technique leaves a rough surface, inviting rugged subjects, such as the ones in Buffaloed. This arrangement of animals intrigued me to try another one with Texas Longhorns, thus Steer Clear. When the palette knife and Longhorns met on my canvas, I knew I had found a compatible match. The two will definitely meet again.

My husband, Don, and I live in the piney woods of East Texas. We have two sons and four grandchildren. We enjoy traveling, especially to the Texas hill country and the Rocky Mountain states which have inspired many of my works.
